Everglades Airboat Ride

It starts with a mighty roar,
easing into fluid motion,
as the sawgrass bends below the airboat bow.
Lilies, mosses and algae filter the meandering river,
the foundations of stability resonates within the green,
swaying and rippling — buoying the breeze.
As the rumble glides and slides side to side,
the shallow tenuous trails open into infinite vastness,
distance echoes — mirroring beyond the horizon.
Water, Earth and air, blended and shimmering…
